Animated Vinyl Zoetropes
Zoetropes are an awesome way to make a vinyl release (or slipmat) stand out! Combining traditional animation techniques with more modern motion design fundamentals, these animated picture discs spring to life when viewed with a camera or strobe light. The result is a mesmerizing animation appearing right before your eyes!
Whether it’s drawing inspiration from an existing design or creating something entirely new, there’s so many possibilities with every new project. As a designer and former engineer, l absolutely love balancing the mix of art and math that go into creating each design!

Hi there! I’m Tim, a designer and illustrator based in Rochester, NY. The little puggle is Monty. He says hi, too.
After studying both studio art and engineering as an undergraduate, I spent the first decade of my career working in the optics and biomedical fields before returning to art as my full-time professional focus. I love combining my technical and artistic backgrounds to tackle unique creative challenges. The mix of creativity and precision required to design zoetropes has been an awesome way to use all these skills!
When I'm not making art, I enjoy music, skateboarding, woodworking, volunteering at the local animal shelter, and exploring the greater Rochester area with my wife, son, and our three rescue puggles!
